ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Work schedule is on a 4/10 basis, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday - Thursday and Tuesday - Friday on a 3-month rotating schedule. Must work mandatory overtime as required including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
Working under supervision of Graffiti Removal Heavy Equipment Operator, removes graffiti from public and private structures as walls, fences, gates, sidewalks, statues, etc. Analyzes type and amount of graffiti, material and texture of structure, and determines method of cleaning for maximum removal. Orders, picks up, and uses a wide assortment of paint removal chemicals, cleaning equipment including high-pressure tools, and personal protective equipment. Drives graffiti removal truck to worksites, requiring familiarity with city neighborhoods and streets and the ability to read and interpret city maps. Provides high-quality customer service by courteous interaction with residential and business owners and the general public; participates in public events to provide information on City's graffiti removal program. May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
**REVISED QUALIFICATIONS AS OF 8/22/13**
Work requires High School Diploma or GED with minimum of two (2) years of related experience. Must have a valid CDL B driver's license at time of application and time of hire. Successful candidate must be able to attain a valid Texas CDL B driver's license within 90 days of hire.

Closing Statement
Selected applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test.
Any position that lists a minimum qualification for education level and/or license/certification will require the applicant to provide proof of documentation if selected for hire into the position with the City of Corpus Christi.
In the event of an emergency, employees are required to work to provide for the safety and well-being of the general public, including the delivery and restoration of vital services.
This position is classified as "Safety Sensitive". All employees in safety sensitive positions are subject to random drug testing, pursuant to City policy, HR 15.0 Alcohol and Drug Abuse.
